About Me
I was born and raised in the Hudson Valley of New York. Ever since I was a kid, art class was my favorite part of the day. I loved creating visual work that told stories and expressed myself. This joy grew as I pursued my education and discovered my interest for graphic design.
I always found myself especially drawn to typography and signage, with how different fonts can change the way we feel about a product or place. This fascination led me to earn both a BFA (SUNY New Paltz) and an MFA (Tyler School of Art and Architecture). I really enjoyed exploring branding, typography, and color, as key elements of user experience and visual communication.
Currently, I specialize in environmental graphic design, creating impactful signage, wayfinding systems, and branded workplace graphics for a diverse range of companies and organizations. I’m passionate about how people interact with both physical and digital spaces, and I aim to create inclusive environments for everyone. Curiosity and collaboration drive my design process, as I believe that focusing on community is at the heart of great design.

Meryl consistently brought in thoughtful work to every class [Design Systems course at the Tyler School of Art and Architecture] that set the standard for critiques. Her solutions were not only logical and organized but also incredibly creative. One aspect that truly stood out about Meryl was her willingness to challenge herself.

Meryl was our first graduate student to take on this role [BFA Studio & Project Manager at Tyler School of Art and Architecture], and she has set the standard so high that I'm not sure we will ever find someone as ambitious and qualified. She embraced each challenge with focus and care.

Some things I enjoy outside of design include baked goods (or anything sweet), all things upstate New York, craft beer or cider, and running with friends (if I can convince them).
